Has anyone ever used the the time-sequence keying module (either factory or homebrewed) normally used with the Viking1/2 series on other than EFJ vintage equipment? I'm considering doing this to a Lysco 600. Taking a look at both schematics of the keyer and the Lysco, I think it can be done!

The Lysco has a 6AG7 VFO/OSC, the same tube buffer, and an 807 PA. The chain of tubes the EFJ circuit "keys" (on EFJ equipment like the Vik 1-2) is the 6AU6 VFO, a 6AU6 Buffer, and a 6AQ5 2nd buffer. The only difference is that in the t.s. keying chain of events, all I'm doing is that I will be keying the 807 PA instead of the 6AQ5 2nd buff. Additionally, the EFJ circuit calls for a -75 VDC supply to bring all tubes to cutoff. The Lysco schematic uses the center tap return of the main power xfrmr to draw the negative supply to cut all three of the tubes off.

This seems to be a pretty interesting project I'm considering undertaking!

Your comments appreciated! Thanks.
