 HI To the list, I am trying to get a Johnson 500 up and runing, I =
changed all the caps and balance resistors in the high voltage section =
and checked all transformers and chokes for shorts to ground all were ok =
but still have a short=20
to ground it blows the 8 amp fuse in primary of the high voltage =
transformer when the rig is keyed this will happen
even when the high voltage is disconnected from the RF unit
 so I feel sure that its in the high voltage power supply.
 The short keeps going back to the high voltage capacitor
 board. It seems to me that the cap string is not showing=20
 the high resistance that it should.
  I will appreciate any help.
                      Regards
                            Don =20
