[Johnson] Valiant VFO help

Hi all,

Can someone please tell me the easiest way to get into the VFO in a Valiant.
I am working on mine, and want to get the 18K resistor that is prone to
problems out of there and replaced with one of a higher wattage. I have
never had the VFO apart, and would prefer do it the easy way if there is
any.

Do you take out the four screws on top, and then all the screws on the four
upper sides?

I hate it when I take out a screw and a nut in an impossible to get to place
falls off!
