That's an interesting thought.  Would have to check on
the impedance for the Valiant SSB input!
(I do have a QRP antenna tuner, but this is getting
more and more complicated.)  
I'm pretty sure that the SSB input goes through the
"multiplier" stage before it gets of the finals.
