[Johnson] Failure in Valiant Audio section?

I would be more inclined to suspect the mode switch, probably having
been changed from CW to AM or reverse while transmitting many a time.

In any event, it's very easy in this case to follow the HV through the
circuitry. Should be a quick find with a voltmeter.
