Well, I fully understand the many variations that
manufacturers have in assigning serial numbers,
however, when there is such limited production,
as in the case of the Desk KW (402), it seems
logical to me that just maybe there is a higher
problility that the numbers actually have some
significance. I was simply, out of curiosity, asking
the question if anyone knew for sure. It would
be nice to know how accurate the published data
actually is, and I was inquiring about a possible
anomaly in the data. Other than that, I don't care.
Ed Tanton, the proud owner of a Navigator I foolishly
sold him :) makes a good point about parting these
"rare" old beasts out. I am mid stream in the process
of a total ground up restoration of this Desk KW,
saving it from an almost sure death, and in spite of
the extreme expense of doing so, I'm happy to have
"saved one."
