[Johnson] Johnson Viking Navigator - Dial Problem

In a word, nostalgia! I have a Conar 400. Lousey
transmitter (whole thing is a 6DQ5), chirps like
crazy, only puts out about 15 watts, only works on 80,
40, and 15 meters. But, they are worth a fair amount
of money today, especially ones that are in excellent
condition (as is mine).

There are a lot of amateurs who are now "re-creating"
their older stations. I have "re-created" all of my
"primary" stations since I was first licensed in 1959
and have come-up-with a number of the "secondary"
items that I had over the years. In addition, I have
been acquiring some of the equipment that I could not
even think of affording in years past! That is one
reason why the old "boat anchor" equipment is now
worth some money. I gave away my original DX-100 to
an employee of mine back in the mid-1970s when you had
to "pay" someone to "haul off" the tube-type gear.
Sure wish I had it back!
