Hi Ed,
Keep in mind this plug has nothing to do with the 10A or 10B by itself.
It came with and is part of the Johnson Valiant and is used to connect
any SSB adapter to the Valiant, so you won't find one as part of the
10A.
I just happen to be trying to easily connect my 10B. The CE-10B works
fine driving the Valiant on 160 ssb. There aren't many vintage rigs that
had 160 SSB available so this is the way I chose to do it. The
frustrating part is that Johnson provided the Valiant with the
capability to work 160 thru 10 meters, but the matching Johnson SSB
adapter only covers 80 thru 10, hence my need to use the CE-10B for 160.
I have my original P-10 on the Johnson SSB adapeter, so want a spare
P-10 to put on the CE-10B so it is a lot easier to just pull and plug
whatever SSB adapter I want to use into the Valiant.
The 10A is fine if you have a need for QRP ssb (stand alone) or as an
ssb exciter for a bigger rig.
