One of the tubes has a grid connection to the coax line going through.
Of course the grid conducts part of the rf cycle and does not the
rest. Rectification. That makes harmonics. Need a tuner (in line all
the time) or a low-pass filter between the TR switch and the antenna.

This is getting to be less of a concern in areas with cable or
satellite use.

But if you use the stock TR switch unit, you do need a low pass filter
or something in line while transmitting to keep them off the antenna.
