[Johnson] Automatic Break In TR Switch

Dear Viking gang,
I use an EF Johnson electronic TR Switch with a Valiant, HQ-170, and
Hammarlund HXL-ONE linear amplifier. Of course the Valiant drives the
HXL-ONE and the output goes into the TX terminal, and the HQ-170 is
connected to the RX terminal.
I also use a homebrew break-in system from QST in the late 1950's
(TATOO...Transmitter Automatic Turner Oner Offer!!).
This unit uses a 12AU7 and a mercury relay for keying, with a 10K ohm
plate circuit relay for muting the HQ-170. The system
works great...I have no TVI since everyone is on the "cable". Now, 2
meters used to kill the cable system until the fiber-optic cable was
installed by Media One (Now ATT).....
