Depends...I think that the I/II series of EFJ transmitters may need a
few upgrades to help it along: a reliable PTT circuit and modifying
the modulator section to something that will enable the transmitter
to transmit at a higher modulation level. 

While I'm not into the wild transformations, common sense mods are
fine by me.
