[Johnson] valiant mods

I too had audio response problems with my valiant.  I changed out all of
the wax caps in the audio section with orange drops.  One thing that I
did do was to double the value of the coupling caps to give a better low
freq. response.  I get good reports now using a d-2104 mic.
