Facebook seems a disorganized mess of S9 signals.

I have never found any need for any of the sites, and when I read an email from an AWA member recently (an attorney, BTW) which listed several of the negatives of Facebook, it confirmed my thoughts. Another well- known AWA member, after I asked his opinion when I was considering joining, told me he had no use for Facebook or its founder.

We've used the QTH reflector now for around 18 years and it has proven reliable, but also quite limited in features, i.e. no pictures or graphic, no attachments etc. So even with relation to just email it is well below the capability of current offerings. I have also noticed many groups and clubs have migrated over to Facebook due to the built-in features that are vital to a clubs operations, like a calendar with reminders. In addition, the ability to show & tell new acquisitions, and later offer them for sale when the ownership joy has worn out, hi. My guess is that a good percentage of JMS members are already on Facebook as well, so the transition should be smooth and would integrate into current activities.
