[JMS] Should JMS move to Facebook?

Hi All,

I would say that there is incredible value to us all in having both the
current JMS site as well as Facebook. JSM for reliable content and member
communications and FB for dynamics and interactivity.

The JMS site is organized and managed by few. It houses most of the
resources available to us today in a well-organized and structured way.

Facebook is a very dynamic and interactive means of communicating and
sharing our experiences with James Millen equipment. These give the James
Millen collectors and fans a way of sharing, learning, and trading Millen
equipment, ideas, and support.

Sure, the content in the JSM site could be moved to FB but it is redundant
work and would take quite a bit of time and effort.

I personally like visiting the JMS site and knowing where to look for what I
am looking for without having to worry about things like FB changing the
layout so it could have a fresh feel and having to re-find what I am looking
for.

Just my humble opinion.

Hi Don - excellent idea. I have been on Facebook since 2009 with no issues
and I do go on every day. I belong to numerous ham radio groups, antique car
and train groups and much more. With Facebook, you have the advantage of
posting pictures with your posts and seeing them as part of that post. No
having to download the picture. You can post pictures with your comments and
replies to someone else. You can also have attachments. And you can have
back and forth conversation which is nice.

The e-mail lists have been and still are great but I think Facebook will
enhance the experience.

As far as Yahoo. It's OK but moving to Facebook would be much better all the
way around.

As to the naysayers, it reminds me of the nonsense with ebay back 15 years
ago and the same with using paypal.

That is my opinion and I look forward to seeing JMS on Facebook.

Tnx es 73,

Dave N7RK
