Good day all,
The James Millen Society W1HRX will be on the air for this years AWA AM
QSO Party (Feb 18-19). Society member Dennis K0EOO will be one of the
featured flagship stations using our societies call. The W1HRX vintage
style QSL, almost identical to that used by James Millen in the 1930's,
will be available (SASE to K0EOO) for confirmed QSO's with Dennis during
the event.
The event starts at 6PM EST on the 18th and runs through 6PM EST on the
19th. I do hope to work W1HRX once again as I have worked our station in
the past AM QSO Parties. The AWA AM QSO Party is open to all ham
stations and is simply a fun operating event. The object has always been
to get on and chat. Number of QSO's has never been the main goal. Get on
and enjoy if you have AM capability.
I'm still trying to find the AWA QSO Party Rules on-line. The dates,
times and bands appear on the AWA website. However outside those
general items there is no link provided for detailed rules or entry
sheets. If anyone has a link for the detailed rules or can forward them
to our JMS reflector please feel free to post them.

I will be on for the event using my Millen setup as always. I hope to
work other JMS members over the weekend. I know there are no age
restrictions on the equipment you use. So any equipment, including new
SDR's, can be used as long as they are capable of AM transmission and
reception.
