Brian, thanks for doing such a wonderful job of copying and organizing the
GE and RCA ham tips!! I have quite a few tucked away and will take a look
and see if I have any of the ones you are missing...

Again, great job!!

Brian,
Congratulations on joining JMS and welcome aboard. You have made an
excellent contribution by making electronic copies of both of these fine
publications available to us which will be useful to many and certainly
appreciated. Radio Design Practice which is a collection of engineering
drawings and specifications for many parts National made in the 1930s is an
excellent reference source and actually quite rare. Your Notes on Amateur
Radio Transmitter Design is especially useful to me at the moment. I am
currently in the process of going through two National NTX-30 transmitters
and two NTE exciters and having the copy on my desktop makes it convenient
to find various specifications. Now if I could just find that elusive
National NSM Modulator!

Greetings! I'm a new member of the James Millen Society and happy to be
ssociated with others who appreciate Millen's engineering excellence.
My "collection" of Millen gear consists of only a 1942 HRO that's in the
process
f being re-capped. So while my hardware stash can't compare to most Society

embers, I might still have something to offer. To commemorate my acceptance
in
he group, I've posted two of Millen publications that I have not found
therwise available. They are his Radio Design Guide 1935 and Notes on
Amateur
adio Transmitter Design from 1938. They're on my web site at:
ttp://n4trb.com/AmateurRadio/National/Millen.htm
While on the site you might also be interested in a complete set of G-E Ham
ews: http://n4trb.com/AmateurRadio/GE_HamNews/ge_ham_news.htm
I'm also involved with a group of guys on a ham history email list as we try
to
ssemble a complete set of RCA Ham Tips too. We've got a good start but
there
re some holes, particularly issues that might have appeared during the war
ears. The set as is can be found here:
http://n4trb.com/AmateurRadio/RCA_Ham_Tips/rca_ham_tips.htm
I need to send out a special thanks to Tim Walker, W1GIG, whom I met at the
ntique Wireless Association (AWA) conference a couple of weeks ago. He
signed
ff on my membership application and also got me set up with most all the
parts
need to build a 1929 Hartley and get it on the air for the AWA Bruce Kelly
vent. THANKS, Tim!
Comments are welcome!

rian
