Hi All,
Below is an email sent by Brian N4TRB who is seeking membership in our
fine organization. I already provide Brian with a list of those JMS
members I know will be in attendance this year at the AWA convention.
So if you run into Brian offer to sponsor sign his JMS membership
application and take the time to talk some Millen (or National). Yet
again I will not be able to swing the conference in this year. I was
hoping I could but life keeps getting in the way. I look forward to
attending many more times in the years to come. It is by far the best
vintage radio event out there.
Brian's eMail:
As a fan of James Millen and engineering excellence, I'm interested in
joining the James Millen Society. Since membership is by
recommendation, I was wondering if you or any other society members
might be attending the AWA Convention next week in Rochester. If so,
I'd like to make a point of meeting society members with a view toward
joining the group. I'm really more of a historian than a collector,
although I'm in the middle of restoring a 1942 HRO receiver and I've
made a point of picking up Millen RF chokes in the style of his 1934
patent on the ornamental design!
If you're not attending this year, could you please post a note on my
behalf to the Millen Society email reflector?
For a little more on my interests, you might peruse the amateur radio
section of my web site at:

Thanks and 73!

BTW, brian has written many historical radio articles with links
provided on his website above. If you want you can drop Brian
(brian at gladlylearn.com) an email before hand to arrange a eye-ball if
you are attending the conference..
Appreciate your help es 73 - Long Live the JMS.

P.S. Thanks Gary (WA4IAM) for directing Brian to me.
