[JMS] 90801 knobs

OK Bill Thanks.
I do see a similar knob in one of my catalogs for the Millen
"Miniaturized Components" line. They have a bar knob listed as a code
A001 which has a bar that is 1/2" high and 3/4" long. That is smaller
than the bigger bar knobs we find on most of the older Millen
equipment. However, they indicate the A001 is for a 1/8" shaft.
However, on a resellers parts list they have a A001, A001C and A001D
listed. Unfortunately, no descriptions are provided.
Bob, W0YVA, check the knobs on your 90923 scope. Does it also use these
smaller bar knobs?
BTW, those little fluted knobs on the early 90801's are what appears to
be the Millen A006 series. Again, the original A006 is 1/8" shaft too,
so they must be a derivation on those.
As I was writing this it dawned on me that the some of the dippers used
those little bar knobs. I took out my 90652 and sure enough it has the
dimensions for the A001 above. Albeit the 90652 has a brownish-red
knob, but it is a 1/4" shaft. I removed the knob, but it only has
Millen and the Millen-logo stamped on the underside. No part number! So
it looks like we may be able to get these after all and they may be more
plentiful than I expected.
Thanks again all for the emails on this completely aesthetic topic.
