Hi Gang,

We have been asked again to provide one of the flagship stations for the
2009 AWA AM QSO Party. The information I have now reports the dates as
starting 6pm EST on Saturday, Feb. 21st and ends 6pm that Sunday.

So do we have any one willing to run with the JMS call W1HRX in
February? As always we would prefer a relatively high power station or
at least one with an antenna system that would make for a reliable
signal on the bands. In addition, since we are an organization that
promotes James Millen it is always our first choice to promote the
Millen and National manufactured equipment. The W1HRX selected
participant with a station consisting of some Millen and/or National
equipment gets the highest priority and seniority in our selection. If
you've run W1HRX in the past don't feel like you shouldn't do it
again. If you want to jus let me know.

If you feel you have the station and the time to run W1HRX during the
upcoming AWA AM QSO Party send me a personal email. The JMS does have
W1HRX QSL cards (almost dead-on replica's of the 1930's W1HRX QSL) for
such events and cards will be provided to the person running our call
for QSL'ing needs. Since we are not a "dues" collecting organization
the W1HRX station will be responsible for the cost of mailing out QSL
cards. However, from past experience we have rarely sent out more than
10-20 cards per event. In addition, you can request SASE's from worked
stations and have them send QSL's directly to your home QTH. We do not
have a QSL Card manager either, hi. Blank W1HRX QSL cards will be sent
to the event station's QTH free-of-charge after the event is over and a
good guess quantity of the requirement is determined.

So who is game for this years event? Normally we tried to go with
stations out west, since the W2AN station at the AWA is one of the
flagship stations in this event, but I know we have some really good
east coast potentials too and I'm willing to let this opportunity go to
anyone anywhere. Plus, there has been talk of possibly three flagship
stations this year with an effort to have a new third on on the west coast.

Let me know guys.
