[JMS] Millen Relatives

Joe,

I got the papers in the mail today, thanks so much.  You didn't mention 
that the obituary provided the names of his Nephews and a niece.  How 
wonderful! 

For the membership here is what it states:

"He is survived by two nephews, R. Woodward Millen of Aiken, S.C. and 
Michael Millen of Charlottsville, VA., and one niece Mrs. Timothy 
Brosnahan of Bethesba, Md."

I did some initial Google investigating on the two nephews.  It looks 
very promising as R. Woodward Millen made a donation to the University 
of Virgina in 2006.  He appears to have been a 1964 graduate of the 
school.  I also found out that a Michael Millen is a member of  the 
Junior Committee of Virginia State Golf Association for the 
Charlottville area. (Side Note - Jim Millen loved golf too)  My initial 
guess is that all three living relatives are the sons and daughter of 
Jim's brother Dr. Robert Millen.  Also from the obit both his brothers 
did proceed Jim in death.  I know John Millen had passed before the 
mid-40's via the Dun & Bradstreet reports.

So a little more searching should lead me to some direct relatives of 
Jim Millen.  Will they result in fruitful information is yet to be 
discovered.

I agree Joe this gets to be addictive.  If there are any JMS members 
close to these relatives residency please feel free to jump in if you 
want to pursue establishing contact with them.  From personal experience 
I have found it best to be able to sit down with people.  You get some 
really good stories when face-to-face with people in a relaxed atmosphere.

Thanks again Joe for the documents.  They will be valuable assets in our 
investigation.
