Don , thank you for your nice reply. BTW, I mailed you the supporting copies 
Monday. In answer to your question of how far I want to go...research is a 
disease you can never get rid of. All the way. By coincidence, my family is 
buried in North Reading MA. I contacted a photographer up there and he 
wanted $100 bucks to travel a couple of miles and take photos of the head 
stones. Any of our member live near NYC?  Being a prominent family, maybe 
they inscribed the date of birth. Tell you what. I'll call the cemetery and 
report what they say. Even if we had the year, it would he the folks in 
Virginia to locate his birth certificate. Sometimes the route is slow and 
painful. Many times the 'official documents' are in error. Since he was 
affiliated with the bank in Malden, surely they must have records (if not in 
the dumpster). I'll keep trying.  73  Joe  W4CBJ
