[JMS] How does one "grind a crystal" to change its
frequency ?

Hi Don,
I visited Valpey Fisher back in the early 90s, and they were getting
crystals rough tuned in, using Radio Shack shortwave receivers (DX-160s?)
to monitor things on a shelf above the lapping stations.
Maybe that lack of process advancement explains the lack of contemporary
industry in the US these days. (although I see they are still in business).
