[JMS] Listen for Dennis K0EOO This Weekend - AWA AM QSO Party

Hi Guys,

I was planning on sending out a Society Update email, but for some
reason it just slipped by me.  Now I find myself over on the island of
Bitan Indonesia this week on business.  A long way from home, but I will
be returning, hopefully, this Friday to the cold of the Chicago area.

This weekend is the AWA AM QSO Party.  As part of the operating
activities in this yearly event are a couple of "Flagship Stations". 
This year Dennis K0EOO will be operating as a Flagship station using our
JMS callsign W1HRX.  For some of the event he will be using his
wonderfully designed and constructed high power Millen setup.  If you
haven't seen his stuff yet check out the JMS website for details.  It's
a work of art!  Although I have a few outside activities this weekend,
plus suffering from the expected jet-lag, I do plan on putting in as
much time as I can  in the QSO Party with my baby Millen setup.

The AWA AM QSO Party is open to all hams and not just AWA members.  The
general management of this event is aptly handled by fellow JMS member
Gary WA4IAM.  Thanks Gary and Dennis for again allowing us to work this
very famous callsign.  It was a major success last year with Jim W8KGI's
station performing the W1HRX functions.  So I hope those of you who have
your AM stations up and running will spend time this weekend to join in
on the activities.

I look forward to working K0EOO's Millen station and getting another
W1HRX QSL card for my collection.
