P.S. Glenn thanks for the kind comments on the Millen site and our
contributors. I'm sure one of the group members will have an answer for
you on the LF coils. I don't think it is a April Fool joke BTW.

I would like to thank you and the other contributers to your Millen
website. It is very nicely arranged and has a lot of great material.

I have a question that has been bothering me for several years now. I
had purchased a 90651 dip meter with a couple of the extended LF coils
at a hamfest here in Ontario. The documentation included the page with
the frequency curves for the 4 extended coils dated 1-31-50. There is
another sheet dated 4-1-64 that has a curve for a fifth LF coil, part
number 46706. I have never seen it mentioned anywhere nor have I seen
one listed for sale. The April 1st date on the sheet is very suspicious.
Was this a real accessory or was this an April fools joke?

The title reads "Calibration of Low Frequency Inductor 46706 for James
Millen 90651 or 90661 Grid Dip Meter". In the bottom right hand corner
it reads "James Millen Mfg. Co. Inc., 4-1-64 A.E.D.".

What I have is a photocopy that looks like the page was part of a book
or other bound collection. It is on a fairly standard piece of linear
graph paper.

Was this an April fools joke? If so do you have any details?

Thanks.

Glenn Hayward
