Hi Scott!
Yep, it's amazing. My horizontal 160 meter loop slopes into the woods
down a hill beside the house so that the side of the loop opposite the
house resides at or a little below street level. The whole thing is
tilted towards the north. The loop at it's highest point above ground is
no more than 20 feet up, so the antenna is a dyed-in-the-wool cloud
burner. Yet when I use it on 80 meters it appears to have one helluva
lobe towards the northwest, hence I tend to be heard rather well in the
Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin area just running 35 watts output carrier
with my Millen 90801.
That was the first time in a while that I've checked into The Mighty
Elmac Net. Lots of fun! It was great hearing Dave, KA2J on there using
an Elmac he found in the AWA Conference flea market last August. I
remember seeing that one out in the lot and it was good hearing it on
the air.
Need to meet up with you and Double-Oh on AM sometime. If I can make it
up there I'm sure I could hear you both down here!

Nice sounding signal Gary and it was fun to hear your Millen station! Hmmm, I didn't recall hearing you mention any Millen antenna tuner.... :->
