Yea Don, it was great having our Millen-to-Millen AM QSO on 40 meters
yesterday morning! The 80 meter loop is doing a great job for you, as
your 20 watts carrier output was putting a consistent S7-S9 on the
Collins 75A-4 here in NC. Not bad! Strange though that you're only
getting 20 watts carrier output from your 90801 on 40 meters when I'm
getting 30 watts out on mine, and on 75 meters I can squeeze 35 watts
out of it usually. Your transmitter and modulator sound fine, and after
hearing yours I'm convinced that I'm going to have to switch to a D-104
mic from the Shure 70H that I'm presently using just to add a bit of low
frequencies to my audio. Hey, if anyone on the reflector has a good
working D-104 with the original mic stand that doesn't have the
push-to-talk bar switch on it and wants to trade for a good D-104 that
does have the push-to-talk stand, send me an email and let me know!

73, Gary - WA4IAM
