[JMS] Millen 64161 and 65163

Hello members,
I have a number of what looks like extra large I.IF. Cans embossed with the 
Millen logo on the top.
They are adjustable from the side with two L/C networks inside and tune 
around 1600 kHz.
Normally, I would say, they are just IF's, but could these have been 
designed to be used in an amplified TRF or xtal set?
Any one have the particulars on these part numbers: 64161 and 65163 ??
