[JMS] More Thoughts On Mod S/N's

Ok, Don purchased a partially manufactured modulator from JME a few
years back, and so did Bob a bit more recently. Didn't you just in the
past year sell that one Bob after you completed the construction on it?
I'd be interested in the S/N number on that one too. But if we assume
that Don's modulator represents the tail end of production, then it
might be that only around 200 or so of the modulators were ever
produced. That wouldn't be suprising since I'm unaware of the modulator
appearing in any advertising outside of the company catalog for their
amateur equipment line. You know, you would figure they would have
advertised them in the Millen catalog section in the back of the ARRL
Handbooks! That's another reason I'd love to know the S/N of the 5" high
version we saw if it indeed dates from the early sixties. Didn't they
drop the modulators from the catalog after around 1963?
