Hey Gary,
The SO-239 on the back does appear to be original. Since there are no
holes for the binding posts. The serial number looks like #277 on the
chassis. Maybe we need to make a serial number list from the JMS
membership who own 90711's. See if any others have the SO-239 version
and perhaps determine just about where in the serial number change the
conversion took place.
Fellow JMS'er Ronnie W5SUM is the current high bidder. I've been
emailing back and forth with Ronnie relating to this 711 and Millen in
general for the past couple of days. He needs a 711, but is now off on
vacation and won't be around to see if he is the auction winner.

P.S. I have that Millen frequency standard that also has SO-239's placed
above each binding post input/output connection. That also looks
original on mine. So it appear they did migrate over to a non-balanced
output on several devices during the fifties. Albeit, the binding post
output on the 711 is still not a balanced output.

Hi Guys,
I have no connection with this auction, but figured I'd give a heads up
to those who have been searching for one of these VFOs for their Millen
stations. I've never seen one with a coax connector for the output, as
opposed to the twin binding posts, but perhaps that did come from the
factory like that. There appears to be no tuned crystal socket adapter
included with this unit. From the photos it looks to be in nice shape
aside from the additional connector on the back of the black cabinet
(ground?).
