[JMS] JM Parts Collecting

Don,

I remember Bill W9ZPP (a JMS member) was collecting parts. In fact that's
how I met him as he was placing bids on eBay for just about every Millen
item that came up a few years back.

I was looking at the 1960 Parts List on our website and minus the big stuff
it looks like between 300-350 parts on that list. So maybe another couple
hundred that got dropped off over the years or were low speciality
production for a specific customer/project. Wow that could be harder than
getting all 300+ DXCC countries running 1mW into a wet noodle submerged at
the bottom of Lake Michigan, hi hi.
Then perhaps ZPP already has them all!

I, like you, and perhaps many fellow JMS'ers just find it hard to pass up
any little Red and Black Millen box at the local swapfest. Although I must
admit I have left many behind because I knew they would never in a million
years get used. Just to obscure even for general BA and BC set
refurbishing.

With all that said wouldn't it make a great picture for the website? Maybe
during one of the next events where we have a bunch of Millen types together
we can have everyone bring all the little boxes along and photo them all in
one big pile. Then I could take them all home free of charge, hi hi.

Don't think I will be the official Millen parts collector either, but I'm
sure that over time my piles will increase.
