All:
I don't have a schematic or manual (yet) for the Millen transmitter but I would like to know just a few basics on the unit:
1) There are three coil sockets-one for the output tank, one for the plate of the 6L6 (I believe), and a cathode 5 pin coil for the same. I have two 90382 coils. Is this good enough for 75-80m operation?
2) Can one key the 6L6 via the cathode coil socket if the cathode coil select switch is in the "out" position?
3) How does one "hook up" an antenna to the output tank? I've seen a 90800 modified to use an SO-239 connector on the output but I don't want to do that. I think I can bolt in a BNC to an existing hole in the chassis but then again, I'm only guess.
4) What are the power requirments for the transmitter?
I'm looking forward to building up a small Millen AM/CW station to eventually get in contact with W1HRX in the future.
Thanks.
Cal, N6KYR.
