Thanks, Gary:
I may end up doing the latter but we'll see (unless I can homebrew a 19" custom rack). By the way, good find in that Millen 500w amp. Even better find on that 160 meter grid coil you got for the thing! Don't suppose one can adapt coils to fit some of these old vintage rigs?

Guess I'll be looking to find 160 meter and 40 meter coils for my 90800. In the meantime, I'm thinking about 'brewing something for 30 meters. Cal. N6KYR.

Cal,

I picked up the couple of open table racks I have at local hamfests.
They do pop up occasionally and I've seen them average between $5 and
$30. Keep looking and you'll find some good used ones at decent prices.
The enclosed table cabinet type racks tend to be MUCH more expensive
($50-$100). Good luck!

It appears that I now have both grid and plate coils (#43082) so I can build up at the very least, a 75 meter AM station. My plan is to build up the power supply for the transmitter and modulator and MAYBE save some space for a matching JM oscope (ala Don's great looking all Millen transmitter). BTW, where does one get a matching cabinet to stick all this rack mount stuff in? I'm looking for something tabletop compact. 73 de Cal, N6KYR.
