There are 3 other QSO parties overlapping with Saturday's Indiana QSO party.... the 7th Area QSO party will be in full swing when INQP kicks off at 1500 UTC, and then New England fires up BIG time later in the afternoon.... the 7s won't cause too much QRM except maybe on 20, but the NEQP guys will overload 40 meters There's also a Delaware QSO Party but they are scarce to find... I worked ONE last year So, in the interest of clarity and to keep things moving for all concerned.... 1. If you call "CQ INQP" you may not attract any 7QP or NEQP.... so consider calling CQ TEST instead or (on phone) call CQ ANYBODY..... folks in one of the QSO parties will  stop to get you details Then in the exchange add INDIANA in some form.... folks in New England especially won't care what county you are in but do want to log the INDIANA part. On cw I send 599 IN MARI ..... the IN takes another second but it helps the NEQP and 7QP guys.... but don't be surprised if they are already working the next guy before you have finished sending your county.. they got the IN part and they are moving on 2. If you are a rover or mobile, give your county when you call CQ.... I try to append it after every phone CQ and after every second or third CW CQ.... some logging programs are funky and some may not let the operator work you again if it thinks you already worked.... but if you have changed counties you can work again, so some ops (WA3HAE in particular) will send my call back to me as KJ9C/MARI as they logged that way to avoid the logger flagging my call as a dupe 3. If you change counties, the 7QP guys can work you again, even though they already logged you in Indiana. They can log you in each Indiana county you work them from. You should send your INQP log in to 7QP... it will help their log checkers to verify that you indeed were in a different county. And you might actually win a 7QP award (I got a plaque one year for most QSOs from outside 7th call area) Have fun, be safe Mel KJ9C
