Subject: [DisasterWatch_Emcomms] Go-Kit

This is a way cool idea to build on for your individual situation.

(NOTE: The author mentioned CAP in describing what his radio covered.
I know that amateur radio gear is no longer acceptable for use in CAP communications, which is a crying shame but that's another story for an eyeball contact.
My intent in mentioning it is to head off any comments about this that otherwise would be inevitable.
So, take my advice & overlook that part.)

Use your imagination.

Include a portable solar panel kit, add a netbook/laptop & tnc, etc.

Build a kit w/a portable/mobile HF rig & throw in a dipole.

Be creative, inventive, innovative, original, &/or unique.

Stay cool.
