I for one am happy to be able to get a plate with my callsign on it for just 8 dollars extra. In fact, I'd be happy to keep the same plate year to year and just put a "13" sticker on it like we do for "stock" Indiana license plates. But that may take jobs away from folks in the state prison.

However, all that aside, I for one would like to thank N9KT for his tireless work on behalf of Hoosier hams.

Lastly, if you think you can do better than me as the Indiana ARRL
SGL, then go for it!  Just be aware that on good years with almost
nothing to do I spend 300-400 hours doing this job watching the bills,
talking to legislators, visiting the statehouse, and answering the
hate mail I get for not making anything happen about HOA CC&Rs, making
amateur radio the state hobby, etc, etc.  This can be quite a
thankless job...
