Posted by: "Stephen Parker" radiowr9a at gmail.com commsec
Mon Dec 5, 2011 5:37 pm (PST) A packet training workshop will be held in Lafayette on Saturday, FEB
18, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., sponsored by Tippecanoe County ARES. The
workshop is open to all.
Registration is required. There is no cost, but we must be expecting
you. Register soon, as space is limited.
This training session will be devoted almost entirely to setting up
and using the Outpost Packet Message Manager. We strongly recommend
that you have Outpost installed on your computer and communicating
with your TNC prior to the workshop. This will be a hands-on workshop
where we will learn to configure the Outpost Packet Message Manager
for our current packet environment. We will demonstrate how to use
Outpost to send and receive messages for various ARES operations, and
practice passing packet messages through the BBS we will have at the
workshop.
