Any petition to the FCC by an individual ham will have a difficult time
getting any attention. But, if the FCC receives lots of supporting
mail, there are successful precedents.
In that light, I would like to help support a letter righting campaign
in support of K9STH's petition.
Right now it has no RM number. What it needs is a groundswell of
support to get it assigned one.
So at this point in time all we can do -- and I already have -- is to
send that note or preferably a QSL card to:
Federal Communications Commission
Office of the Secretary
445 12th Street, SW
Washington, DC 20554
...and on it write "I support the petition by Glen Zook K9STH for the
FCC to create a new 4 meter ham band."
And then we hope that the QSL cards catch the eye of enough FCC staff.
PLEASE! Pass this on to anyone you think may be interested. Nets, ham
fests, club meetings, etc.!
