Group,
Thanks for all the replies. It looks like we have the start of a good
group, so I think we should give it a shot. Going through the replies,
how about Thursdays at 8:00pm? We could begin next Thursday,
1-29-2009? 144.250 seems to be a popular 2m net frequency, unless
anyone has an objection.
I'll start out as net control, but would be happy to share the duty if
anyone else would like to try. I'll send more details as we put things
together, but I'm not planning anything very formal. I have a very
small station here in EM78el, just east of Charlestown, IN. I have 150
watts and 10 elements at 25 feet. With my station, I will be depending
heavily on the other stations to help relay check ins.
In the mean time, please, spread the word. Talk it up with your friends
and club members. Even if they just have a vertical, encourage them to
give it a try. The more folks we can get on board, the more fun it will
be for everyone.
