On March 20, the FCC released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM), ET Docket 09-36, which proposes a medical micro-power network service (MMNS) using four 6-MHz wide channels in the 413-457 MHz range.

One specific band, 420-450 MHz, is problematic for Amatuer Radio Operators, because it includes the 70cm band. 

This micro-power service would use implanted neuromuscular stimulators that would communicate using the bands listed above.
