I just got this from Mike KB9VCF in our Indy office:

It is with great sadness and regret that I must inform everyone that Vern 
Sanford passed away yesterday a little after 6pm EST. Vern’s passing comes as a 
shock to us all.

He was an invaluable asset to IPN.  Vern was a respected colleague to us all, 
but for some he was also a good friend and mentor. He will be missed 
tremendously.

 

I will pass along the funeral/ showing arrangements as soon as I know the 
details.
