[InHam] Old receivers

Does anyone on the list enjoy restoring "boat anchors"?

A friend of mine found me a couple of old receivers at a flea market.

The first is a Hallicrafters SX-110. The appearance is very good for
it's age. Some paint scratches, but no major dents or rust. It seems
to be in working condition. I powered it up, and with head phones and a
few feet of wire across the kitchen I was able to copy several AM BCB
stations. No noticeable hum. Both tuning dials work smooth from end to
end. It seems to be working, but I'm sure a rig this age [nearly 50
years!] likely needs an alignment.

The second rig is a Realistic DX-160. It seems to work fine, but is a
bit ugly. Much of the lettering has worn off the face of the radio, but
no dents or major scratches. I may hang on to this one to use in the
office...

I can send digital pics on request. I have a broad band connection, so
can send as many and as big as you like.

I don't really have time to take up another "branch" of the hobby, hi
hi. So I would like to find these guys a new home. I would like to
find a "local" buyer, as shipping would be pretty high on a 30 lb rig.
I'm located in Charlestown, here in southern Indiana, but would be
willing to meet someone at a reasonable distance. I'm open to offers,
or even trades. I am mainly interested in VHF/UHF weak signal
equipment, but am open to offers.
