I only met Vern a time or two, didn't know him that well, but we ought to
take a moment a remember him for his bravery and service to his country,

peace.

several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene F. Gill; his parents; a son,
Donald Bruce Gill; and two brothers, James Gill and Charles Gill.

He graduated from Montezuma High School.

Mr. Gill served our country in the Army for four years during World War II
and was at the invasion of Normandy.

Mr. Gill worked for B&O Railroad for 10 years. He retired from Eli Lilly and
Co. in 1980 after working as an engineer for 34 years.
