Hi Guys,

Well it wasn't fun but it's over.  The registrar of QSL.NET and QTH.NET 
made a mistake and included the domains  in a "registrar hold". This 
made the domains cease to exist on the Internet. It started in the 
middle of last week and it was Friday before I had a handle on the 
cause. At 4PM last Friday I was assured this was resolved and all was 
well. As it turned out nothing changed and the registrar company was 
unavailable over last weekend so it was 8AM Monday before they released 
the domains.  I was totally frustrated with them to the point that the 
CEO of the company called me with an apology. Thanks for all the help 
during this time.

Due to the outage I have extended the drawing for the 756PRO III to 
2-15-07. Please advise your list users that they still have time to 
donate for a chance to win.

For those of you that are QSL.NET users the new server is up and 
running. I broke a few things with the software upgrades but I will get 
those cleared shortly. Counters, Formmail, banner ads etc. are all 
hosed. Server is Dual 3.8Ghz processors, 2 GB ram and 2.4TB (Yes it 
really says Terra Bytes) of raid drive. Who would have thought 10 years 
ago we would be running hardware like this.

I have a new server for the mailman lists but will wait a while before I 
possibly disrupt things again.

Things are going well here with all the other smaller systems and it 
looks like 2007 will be a great year for us. I personally am healthy but 
I have been very distracted due to a serious health issue with a family 
member. Many of you know about what it takes to care for elderly 
persons. I appreciate all the help you all give to the hobby and a 
special thanks to Tim for his unselfish contributions. I would not have 
happen without him especially the last 10 months or so.
