Greetings All,

This past spring I finally managed to buy my house in the country I've
wanted for so many years:-) I'm now in Charlestown, which is about as
far south as you can go and still be in Indiana. Just north of
Louisville, KY.

2 acres of ground, and no restrictions:-) I have neighbors, but they
are far enough away that TVI/RFI shouldn't be an issue. It's even at a
pretty decent elevation, above average terrain.

One of the first things I started to do after moving in was to start
planning a tower project. Well, yeah, I was thinking about it even
before moving in:-) Anyway, the spot I've decided that would be best
for the tower will leave me with about 150 foot run for the feed lines.
Being a VHF/UHF fan, with a strained budget, this presents a problem.
So I thought I would check around to see if anyone has a connection at
the cable company that may be able to get some cheap/free catv
hardline. I'm a fairly accomplished "do it yourself'er" so I can likely
roll my own connectors.

I'm really hoping to get the tower project off the ground before summer
is over. Wish me luck:-)

*BTW* I know summer tends to be a bit distracting for the ham radio
community. We all have families, vacations, and other hobbies that
distract us. But it sure seems like the list traffic here on InHam has
been almost gone. We need you to help fix this!

Do you have some gear to sell? *hint: It's easier to sell antennas
to folks you don't have to ship to!*
Are you looking for something special?
Is your club having a meeting?
Did you finally snag that rare DXpedition on some god-forsaken rock?
Anyone made WAS, DXCC, VUCC, or upgraded?
Or maybe you took third place in a beauty contest? :-)

The Indiana Ham list has over 100 subscribers, and growing. Use it!!
