Yes...they do.
I have built the W2IK fishing Pole Vertical and it covers 15m to 40m with my
KX1 and internal auto tuner.

What Ivin (W9ILF) did was simply construct the NorCal Doublet with regular
stranded wire instead of computer ribbon cable.

Seems that computer ribbon cable is getting harder to find.
At 20 feet, they look to me to be pretty hand. I have seen these used to make
a rotatable dipole before, with decent performance.
