de W8ZT in WV:
I just talked to the brother in law of Randal McCloy. His name is Rick
McGee. He called me from the hospital moments ago and he said that I
should here this from the horses mouth,(his). Due to legal concerns the
Drs. have to be cautious about the info they release. He said that Randal
is doing rather well. His vital signs are good.He went in to talk to him
about an hour ago and he was talking to Randal about going fishing and
Randal was nodding his head and moving his hand and squeezing his.He is
not opening his eyes as of yet.He also said that before moving him to
Pittsburg his wife took their two children in to see him and as the
children were talking to their daddy his heartrate went from 80 to 132
and he shed tears. BTW Rick McGee gave me permission to release this
info and to thank all of those who are willing and wanting to send cards
and prayers. They are overwhelmed by the support and prayers. Within a
few hours they are planning to move him to Ruby Memorial Hospital in
Morgantown WV. I do not know an address or phone number so a Google
search would be best.
If there are any folks in the area of Morgantown WV that would be
wanting to help the family, here is what they need desperately. If you
are moments away from the hospital in Pittsburg this might work also..He
said to tell security officers that these are for the McCloy family and
they need them now. As you can imagine they left their homes with only
the clothes on their back. They have had clothes donated to them but
they are in need of duffel bags, suitcases, etc for the donated clothes.
They have only the bags the clothes came in from the store. They also
need totes and any other type of heavy duty bags or duffels to carry all
of the thousands of cards and gifts sent to them. Cards and items sent
to the hospital should be sent in care of his wife, Anna McCloy.
Tonight there will be a prayer said for him by all of the local churches
and he invites all to pray along at 9 pm tonight.
I have to go now as I am late for our annual club dinner. Take care and
thanks, Rick. W8ZT.
