Hello,
I'm looking for anyone that would have gone to Jonas E. Salk
grade school back in 1968-1970 that were members of the school ham radio
club.
I've recently taken up the hobby again and am in the midst of
getting my Element 1 test amended to my Technician's ticket and during
my search I found two other club members, Timothy J. Schultz and Gerry
Aimutis.
Tim's email address is no good and I don't believe Gerry is a
ham any more.
Mr. Hart (or Hardt) was our club sponsor, and I was in the club
in 4th and 5th grade. About the only other thing I remember is that we
built a Kenwood (I think) transceiver kit as part of a club project.
I'm just curious to see if any of our former members are still
hams and possibly still in the area.
Here are some of the other members I remember, but can't find.
Marty or Martin Hiatt (Hyatt ?)
Frank Zimny
Rodney Van Ausdahl
David Sharp
I think there was a dozen of us in the club, and I'm not sure if the
club survived past my 6th grade, which would have been 1970
If you know of ANY hams that were member of the club,
Drop me a line and let me know what you've been doing in ham radio
since.
Regards all,
Rob McClure, KC5RET
