Volunteers Needed in Vanderburgh and Warrick Counties

As many of you know, early Sunday morning November 6, a Tornado swept
through the Vanderburgh and Warrick Counties in South-Western Indiana.
Our hopes and prayers for all affected there.

Amateur radio has been involved with various aspects of the response
from the beginning. Presently the Salvation Army is planning to
dispatch 5 to 6 portable kitchens in the area for the care and feeding
of clean up workers and those affected by this event. These kitchens
will be distributed across a 30 mile area and will need Amateur Radio
support for their activities. The kitchens will be operational from 7am
until 7pm local time starting Tuesday November 8 for several days.
Staffing will be in shifts and based upon your availability. If you are
near the area and available to assist with this operation, contact Bob
Pointer N9XAW at 812-431-5054. Your assistance is needed.
