W9N to Co-Host Chain-O-Lakes State Park Annual Watch Fire
May 28 through May 30
An appropriate celebration of patriotism and national pride will fill the
Chain-O-Lakes State Park over Memorial Day Weekend. Chain-O-Lakes
is located 4 miles south of Albion, Indiana on State Route 9.

The Watch Fire will begin 8:00 AM Saturday morning and will continue to
burn until 4:00 PM Sunday evening. This Watch Fire will be in honor of
our past and present military personnel.
The 21 Repeater Group Amateur Radio Club along with ARMAD (Amateur
Radio Military Appreciation Day) will be operating a special event
station at the Chain-O-Lakes State Park location.
W9N will be used to contact present and past members of the US
military throughout the world. Everyone is invited to come out and
join in the activities.
The site will consist of club Field Day Equipment:
1 HF with 3 element Beam on 10,15, and 20-Meters along with 80/40-Meter
Dipole. w/ Logging Computer.
1 VHF 2 meter FM w/ Vertical for Packet/DX Cluster (Spotting).
1 VHF 2 Meter FM w/ 15 element Beam to contact 147.585 Echolink and
145.330 - for IRLP link. (Echolink Node is W9VD-L )
1 VHF 2 meter FM w/ Vertical for Local Communication. 147.150
