This coming Monday evening March 7th at 8:00 PM, on the 146.97/442.65
repeater, the 444.35 linked repeater in West Terre Haute, and the 147.435, PL
of 77 Hz, Freetown remote base will be the March SKYWARN communications test
net.

With Spring rapidly approaching, the threat of severe weather is becoming more
imminent. To prepare all Hoosiers for the upcoming severe weather season, the
Indianapolis Office of the National Weather Service has declared the week of
March 6 through March 12 Severe Weather Awareness Week in Indiana.

The Statewide Tornado Drills are this Wednesday, March 9 between 10:00 a.m.
and 10:30 a.m. and between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. EST. Please notify your
local SKYWARN spotters that their participation would be much appreciated.

Once again if you are located in the Lawrence, Jackson, Jennings, Bartholomew,
Brown, and Monroe county areas we would encourage you to use the Freetown
remote base on the frequency of 147.435 with a PL of 77 Hz. This remote base
is simplex and  will be activated only during SKYWARN net activity.
